jD’ s diverse career as an artist has spanned over three decades. He has worked as a freelance illustrator, graphic designer, comic book inker, and for the past 15 years as a digital artist in both the film and video game industries. His work has appeared in a number of Spectrum Annuals over the last 10 years as well as other publications in both print and on the web.
His versatile style and ability to adapt has enabled him to partner on many high profile projects with companies such as Walt Disney Imagineering, Walden Media, Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bro’s Studios, DC and Marvel comics. His art has been featured in the Narnia Films Prince Caspian and Voyage of the Dawn Treader, as well as the last Fantastic Four film, Rise of the Silver Surfer. His work was recently a part of the making of Snow White & the Huntsman, and Jack the Giant Slayer. Mazda, GE, BMW, and Infinity have also used jD’ s concepts for helping create some of their television commercials.
Over the last 15 years his artwork has been an important part of many video game studios throughout the country. He is part of Carbon Canyon Studios with 2 of his best friends, Justin Sweet and Vance Kovacs.
A Southern California native, jD lives in the San Diego area with his wife Lisa and their daughter Natalie. Occasionally he commutes to Los Angele’s and Orange Counties for his various assignments.
